Joyful times!!

Makaley just got her first tooth last week. We all had been sick for a week or two and a couple of nights I was having a hard time getting Makaley to sleep. She didn't want to cuddle (this is how we normally put her to sleep) she didn't want to eat, she didn't want her binky. I tried laying down with her. I tried putting her in her crib to cry it out. After a couple of hours of trying. Mike asked me if she was teething. Just so you know, he has been asking this for the last six months whenever she has been cranky. ( She normally is not a cranky child) So just to appease him I held her down to check and see. Which that made her scream even more. Who likes to be held down? And sure enough she was cutting a tooth. So we got out the numbing quetips and held her down some more and made sure we got enough on her gums so that we could get some sleep. Luckily that was it. We haven't even had to use any more quetips since that night. What a good baby! We have been so blessed with her. I don't know what I would do if she wasn't such a good baby. I am sad that she is growing up so fast.

Laguna Beach

Mike's relative or cousin, well we will just call him Uncle Tony; lives at Laguna Beach. So we went and stayed with him for a night and played on the beach. It was Alyssa and Makaley's first time to the beach. It was a foggy day and the water was cold. Even uncle tony didn't want to get in. But Mike braved the cold. He even took his shirt off for a minute. He tried out Tony's sand board and when he didn't go anywhere he decided to tryout the kayak. Alyssa was afraid of the waves but not when dad was there to lift her up when they came in. Makaley loved the sand, I couldn't get her to stop eating it. It was fun to go to the beach but we were even more excited to get in a nice hot shower to warm up. We will have to go back when the weather isn't so bad.

Disneyland

I think that I have finally recouped from our vacation.
It was a lot of fun to see Alyssa get so excited. She couldn't wait. We stopped in Vegas on our way to California and she saw the Excalibur and thought that we were at Disneyland. She was very disappointed that we were only half way there. She stayed awake the rest of the night, until two minutes before we got to the hotel.
Alyssa loved meeting the Princesses. She learned how to greet and bow to the Princesses. Alyssa got autographs and pictures with each one . It was a dream come true. She wants to dress up in her Belle dress everyday and she wants Makaley to be Snow White. They are going to be the same for Halloween. We thought that the 2 for 1 would save us some money. Maybe next time we go to Disneyland Mike and I might be able to do somethings we want.

What a Summer

It's finally here. The fall we've been waiting for. We welcomed a new addition to the family in April. She has been such a delight. It has been so much fun watching Alyssa accept the responsibilities of being a big sister.

We have done a lot this summer. From a day at Lagoon, Family reunions, a pass to the Zoo, moving, and we are going to wrap it up next week with a trip to sunny southern California to see the Princesses at DisneyLand. Who could ask for more.
